haha - I have a deposit down on one, now! They dealer wanted $1000.00 down, which from the look of the forum, is pretty standard. Now, I just have to wait for delivery on my very own Spyder! .

What kind of delivery time would I be looking at - the dealer is still trying to find out for me.

Sorry for all of the questions, but asking questions and the search feature on the forum has been great for helping me get some answers. I've been just trying to make an informed decision on this purchase, is all. I like to somewhat plan ahead. I'm sure you understand.

Congrats from the other side of the country! Didn't mean to give you a hard time earlier but I just have never pre-thought relays before I bought a bike LOL. Hope it comes soon so you can stare at it in your garage and review your tool kit!

The snow has fallen here again, so when it comes in I will likely be checking out the stock tool kit and just about everything else under the plastics, just to peak of course. I have a list made already, a few things I want to check; fuse /relay box for foam installed from the factory to be sure they do not come loose, the fuel line for chafing, parking brake, etc...

Seems like you could order some spare relays from your dealer and they would probably arrive before your Spyder. :dontknow:

Hi guys. I've read about the Autozone, Duralast 19271 41-5100 relay replacement from stores in the USA.

Does anyone know what the eqivilant relay (name/part number) would be from a Canadian shop like Princess Auto or even Napa Auto Parts?


Lamont's post on picking up spare relays does not show the pics anymore - it would help if someone had a picture of the common relays.


Also, are all of the relays the same in the Spyder (at least the ones that commonly go or wear out)?

I called the local NAPA, and they don't have the Duralast 19271 41-5100 relay - they do have cross-referenced matched relays that would do the job - those are $28.99 CAD:yikes:. I think I'll try another auto shop!

Try a BWD#R3110. I paid $17.77 Canadian for mine, in BC, and they work well.

Hey guys. Thank you for all of the replies.


NAPA does not have Duralast 19271 41-5100 relay. However, the cross-referenced replacement (didn't give me any details on that one) is the same price, $28.99CAN.


Thanks for the suggestion on the BWD#R3110. NAPA sells these for the same as the Duralast, $28.99CAD.


However, they did mention a less expensive relay with the following specs (they say the SAME as the Duralast and the BWD above) and price:

NAPA PART: AR172SB (Manufactured by Blue Streak)
$13.45 CAD

Technical specs I was given over the phone on this AR172SB part was:
12V Relay, ratted at 20 amps, continuously at 10 amps

The AR172SB is a special order (no cost for shipping, $13.45+tax is all), and takes 5 days to get in!



Questions:
1) Anyone ever seen or heard tell of this Blue Streak relay?

2) Are the specs the SAME as the Can-Am or Duralast ( I want to STAY within spec! ). Can anyone verify the specs on the Can-Am stock or Duralast rely, please?

Others have purchased them and I haven't heard any complaints; that could be because their original ones have not failed.
