• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

REDA=REEKA !

Lamont has used these (I think this is the brand he has) without issue. Though I don't think he's ever actually needed them.

I don't like the idea of carrying fuel. It's not the fire potential, it's just the hassle. And I really don't need it.

Lamont runs out long before I do (I've run just under 200 miles several times and not run out of fuel).

It depends on the run though, I've gotten to zero bars after only 160 miles on some.

Posted my experience on the REDA Facebook page-- not to be a jerk-- just to let people know these CAN leak and could be a real problem -- my tools and raingear still smell of gas.

Someone from REDA chimed in and said I probably had a defective one and that they would help me out -- not gonna take em' up on it. Something like this I just can't trust after having a problem like I did - and the idea of having a defect in a product like this just doesn't sit well with me. These are specifically made and advertised to not leak -- and should be tested prior to shipping.

Just gonna wing it like before and steal some gas along the way if I need to..... :D

Fire,

They did have a batch of bad tops...I had one...they replaced it with one that works perfectly!!

We carried two of them 4,600+ miles. The only time we smelled gas was when we finally got to an altitude of about 7,000' and then we had a smell of gas, but it went away. No leakage. In Montana we were happy for the peace of mind, especially the time we went 156 miles between gas stations!
:agree: :ani29:
