There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. REDA PORTABLE MOTORCYCLE GAS CAN 1 GALLON

Home Depot has one that will take 1 and 1/2 gal,
Ive been using it for years , Priced Around ten bucks.
The REDA doesn't take a full gal.

Had to change the cap / spout to have mine keep gas... It was leaking like maniac! So no more EPA/CARB system just a plain cap... I have a Rotopax too and I prefer it...

The Rotopax is great, but the REDA fits better if you don't carry the gas on a trailer. Be careful with other plastic cans...if they are not as thick, with o-ring seals for the cap, they may not hold the gas when it expands in the heat and builds pressure. Some can even split. Do not fill the can all the way. Leave at least 10% head space for expansion.

Do you transport yours in a trailer, or in your bike? Any gas smell?

I transported it in my bike bags and in the front trunk of my Spyder, And now in the trunk of my Tri Glide,
No leaks or fumes [smell] And a few weeks ago it laid [fell] on it's side for a 180 mile ride without leaking .

Reda gas can is the only way to go, 350 mile trip in 100 + Heat no leakage of any kind, if you put in the saddle bag, put in on the left side, away from the muffler heat. Dont trust your safety to a cheap gas container, these were made specificaly to carry on a motorcycle.

I have the reda but have been disappointed as it makes the trailer smell of gas. I thought these things where vapor proof. I put it inside two 5 gallon zip lock bags and it still smells.

While at SITA I saw some one had added a small extension to there trailer tongue and put a gas can on. I want to do some thing like this. I will see if I can find a picture when I get home.

Check the seal and make sure it is not full to the top and make it tight

Been happy with mine. I carry 3 in the trailer for the quad with no gas smells or leaking. Heck, my spyder has more of a gas smell than the REDA can ever did.

I bought 4 REDA cans and have thrown one away when the spout came apart on me. I find them to be very difficult to use and pour without spilling. If I head back to Texas again, I might carry one or two to get me through the long stretches without gas stations, but won't plan on it otherwise.

no smell

I have had one for over a year and have had no leakage or smell, the only time I had a problem was when we had the bike in the toyhauler and hit a large dip or better yet dips and it over turned in the bike but it works great overall.

I have two of the REDA cans and never had a problem. Two of these fit perfectly inside the left side cargo storage of my RT. I no longer get stressed out about the possibly of running out of gas.

No More Reda's for Me

I bought a Reda direct from Reda in prep for my Alaska trip. It didn't arrive and didn't arrive. I finally wrote to Reda and only then did they ship it, with apologies. I tested it with water first and it leaked. Got it really tight and then it didn't leak. Switched to gasoline and it smelled. Overnight in the side compartment and it smelled. Made it tighter and tighter. Still smelled. What really disappoints me is that I then sent e-mails to Reda for help and they never answered. Multiple times, no answer. Since the can arrived so late, I had no time to order another. We managed to pack items in the side compartment that would not suffer from gas fumes (except for my rain gear which just wouldn't fit anywhere else). Rode 8K with gas fumes in the side compartment. As soon as I got home, I threw the can out. Obviously some Reda's work fine; mine didn't and I got no help from Reda. Next time will be Rotopax even tho it will not pack as well. I trust them not to leak fumes.
