• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Red RT?

Wheeler~

RT-S PE#0311
Is there a red color RT going into production? I hadn't heard anything about red. Depending on the tone it could be it's best looking option yet!

I have not seen anything on a red color yet myself?

MM

I THINK in the
Premiere Edition RT-S Available thread that dltang post #5 said he was originally wanting to order Red but did not want to wait any longer. I assumed he meant it was planned just not in production yet. I could be wrong. Any way it sounds like a good idea to me, depending on the tone of red!

The only colors currently available on the Spyder site under the Showroom section are as follows:

RT Silver only
RT-AC Blue, Silver
RT-S Black, Blue, and Silver, for the RT.
RS Blue, Red, Silver, Yellow
RS-S White only

As of right now there doesn't seem to be an option for a Red RT anywhere in the plans.

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't think it was a color choice available but just wasn't sure! :dontknow: Thanks again!

Glad to help. :)

I was kind of surprised to find the RT is only available in Silver, and the RS-S is only available in White. :dontknow:

I have to agree. If they make the three colors in the RT-S, it seems like they might be losing some of the market because the RT A-C and the RT doesn't come in all three colors. Same thing with the RS being only available in white.

It also makes me wonder if the other RT owners are going to look down their noses at you if you are ryding a Silver one, as that is the only option for the "cheapest" one? :roflblack:

I really don't understand why they would limit options by color, that makes no sense to me. :dontknow:

I also find it interesting that the white only RS-S comes with the Spyder Rolling Travel Bag, 6 Spoke Wheels, and a Special Edition Seat. :dontknow:

I would probably be thrilled with that machine, in any other color than white.

Since panels are interchangable, we Spyderlovers should trade them among ourselves in order to get the color we want on the model we desire. It's ridiculous that BRP marketing practices force us to do that.

The white RS-S is a special edition, similar to the black Phantom Spyder limited edition, but on a larger scale, from what it appears. The color and special equipment are part of the package, just like the special equipment and paint on the Phantom. Just a marketing ploy, take it or leave it. Not sure why they played around with the RT colors in a similar fashion, but those are our choices, plain and simple. I might have bought a PE RT-S in silver, though, if it had been offered. Then again, that blue is mighty sharp.....

A couple of you have said the RT-S is available in Silver, I have the Spyder BRP showroom up in another window and it shows only black and blue available on the RT-S. with silver available on the RT & RT a&c. We all know how accurate BRP is with their info both printed and web. So my question is where did you get your info.

The RT is available in silver only, the RT A&C in silver or blue, and the RT-S in blue or black. BRP advertising is right on the money in this case. My dealer confirmed this at day one, when I was considering all three versions.

Yes, that was a copy and pasting error on my part. Sorry about that. :opps:

Don't know if you have actually seen a white RS-S or not. I wouldn't have much liked a plain white, either, but it is a kind of pearl white that really stands out. My dealer has one and I thought it looked great. I wouldn't mind having that color on the RT I ordered.

I haven't seen it in person yet, but I have never been partial to any variation of a white vehicle. For some reason it gives me the compulsion to get some large sheriff star stickers to put on. ;)

Of course I have nothing against anyone else getting one, and they are more than welcome to ryde with me anytime. :)
