• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommended Hot Weather Jacket & Pant

I don't know where you all are from, but in my neck of the world when it's hot out you don't wear jackets and pants. You wear shorts, tee shirts and flip flops !!! :roflblack: GEEZ........:joke:

My brother use to wear shorts on cycle rides but not anymore after a bee flew up his shorts while riding. :yikes: Never seen anyone come to a stop so quick. :roflblack:

 Talk about learning a lesson the hard way!

I don't intend to ride with the lower part of the pant legs off. When I stop somewhere for awhile when the weather is hot, that's when I would use the 'shorts' feature.
That's what mesh overpants are for. When you get where you are going, you just zip them off altogether.

I have a pair of mesh overpants. I was looking for something more streetable in case I don't turn them into shorts. Oh, I also purchased a pair of mesh pants from Ron that aren't overpants and look more like street pants. Some people spend money on mods; I spend it on clothes so Bob can bust on me.:roflblack:

Bob,

One more crack from you and I'm going to give you the wrong directions into Syracuse. :D

That's OK, I guess I never understood the reason for those outdoors pants that zip into shorts, either. For that matter, I never quite understood shorts. I have been accused of standing on a chicken. If I wore shorts, women and children would run screaming to Homeland Security, saying we had been invaded by stick men. :roflblack:

Just tell Bob that if he acts up you will forward all posts about his mods to the finance committee...LOL.

I've worn mesh jackets from Joe Rocket, FirstGear, and TourMaster. I like the quality and fit of the FirstGear stuff better than the others but my wife and I are both currently wearing Tourmaster Flex jackets because they convert from a winter jacket to a summer mesh jacket with a few zippers. That's handy in early spring or late fall if you're riding all day. An earlier poster mentioned MotorcycleGear.com as having good prices on Speed & Strength mesh jackets. They're nice people who have good prices on most brands and they're located pretty close to you in Shallowater, Texas right out of Lubbock. If you're interested in any Firstgear riding gear, BajaRon has really good prices, usually free shipping, and ships so fast that it seems like he must have read your mind and shipped it before you ordered it. We still ride in jeans on the bottom.
