• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Recommendations, cup and mount, 2013 RTL?

Hi folks, 2013 RTL.
Needing a mount and insulated cup for my sweetie behind me.
Y'all are pretty good at these type of recommendations!
Hopefully 24 oz or larger, with a straw.
Thanks in advance!

Motorcycle Dave has a good holder that clamps on the rear hand holds.Recently got a couple Contigo cups from menards and they hold ice all day.About $10.

i ran a wire tie between the 2 grip ends holding the bottle. my para noia says a couple big a--
bumps might dislodge the bottle. havent tried it yet. just got the bottle. anyone have an
experience with these coming loose.

looks like when mounted the cupholder has to come off to open the side rear trunk door. any
way to mount it so it wont . cant do it at an angle . wife says she can just hold the cup. guess were just back to carrying water in the trunks. dont want anything on the handlebar.

I have the one in " Motorcycle Dave's" picture. It is adjustable for height and mine clears the saddle bag lid when raised up ( One nut and bolt ). I rigged up a hose with bite valve and jacket magnet so its just a 1 hand operation for my wife to get a drink. 32 oz Pelican fits, used is on long trips and its never come loose.

i did raise mine up and tried it on the hand grip. im not real trusting of that clamp. not much surround surface.
i did massge the unit to get it raised . doesnt lock in like the center hole. lamont has the same unit as dave i believe.
mine is mounted at the back of the hand rail for wife clearance. wheres yours. stayed on ok?

Have been using that holder for 2 years now on my 18 then the 20. Cleared side bags on both(you can adjust the angle) and has never let go. I do make it TIGHT

had the lamonster holder and bottle. did end up ordering the drink2go spyder holder .
more bottle arm arm holding ability and the grip area is better on the passenger grabrails. will see how it does. thanks for all
comments and info. --irv

I've had one like Dave's picture, think I got it from Value Accessories when I first bought the Spyder. I'll tell you the clamping mechanism is so good that if you hit a bump big enough to launch the bottle out of it there will be three things in the air, you, sweetie and the bottle, but the holder will still be on the Spyder. It is easily adjustable so it does not interfere with opening a saddlebag.
