• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:shocked:I took my :ani29: in for recall and told them the last time I was here the guy who test drove my :ani29: said he heard so noise under the bike. They discovered rear fender bracket torn off and damage to swing arm, probably picked up some road debris. So replace swing arm & fender $995.00

Unlikely to be road debris. The rear fender brackets are prone to failure. They have replaced dozens, and have repaired or replaced some swingarms. This should have been warranty work, IMO.

Mine was replaced under warranty at almost 30,000 miles.

Thanks Dudley, it is always good to have someone elses testimony to fall back on when talking to a dealer about something like this. If it happens to me, I will push the warranty issue as well.

I love this forum. Thanks Scotty,Dudley.I called my dealer and asked him to charge the damage to warranty,he called me today it was paid.:D

My BRP tech said that one possible cause/contribution to the cracking was the bolts on the finder getting just loose enough to render the solidity of the fender-to-bracket brace useless. This will cause the bracket and the fender to vibrate, shake, cause metal fatigue, then break. Suggestion...check bolt/nut tightness every oil change.

Yup, makes sense. Just another one of those items to put on my "things to check" check list! I check those brackets on a regular basis anyway based on how many folks have had the issue. So far so good...

I just got a call from the dealership that the problem is not covered by warranty, after I already picked up the :spyder2: with a no charge receipt. :gaah:

If you are still in the warranty period this needs to be covered. You need to call and talk to Carlo on this one.

If you have the BEST warranty, where in the brochure would I find that the fender and other similar body parts/items are not covered. I mean where does it stop; I suppose for example the swing arm would not be covered.

I have the brochure that's why I ask.
