• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recall Opinion Help

Took my 2011 RT Limited into the dealer for an oil change and a check revealed that there were 3 recalls on it that had not been taken care of by the previous owner. Can anyone tell me anything about them. Dealer said it will take a couple weeks to get the parts from Canada and for them to get it fixed.

1. ACS Position Sensor Recall

2. RT Rear Spring Brake Recall

3. Updated Throttle Body Actuator

Are these safety issues. Dealer said I should not ride it until fixed due to safety. Not sure this dealer knows what they are talking about as they are new to the Spyder game but I do trust all of you.

What say all of you??? Am I stuck not riding my new machine until it is fixed. It already has 2,000 miles on it.

Throttle body is definitely a safety issue. If you go into limp mod on a highway at 70 mph you will understand why.

Why hesitate, there is no cost to you is there?

Those are not recalls, they are service bulletins. The throttle body requires no parts, it just an up date to the software.

The rear suspension doesn't need to be done unless you have an issue, it's not a recall.
