• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recall Dilema

So as the new season approaches, I usually get my service and get ready for the new riding season. Not looking forward to another season on a hot bike.
I'm thinking why pay my dealer to perform service and charge me to remove and put back the Tupperware at $90.00 an hr, When I can have BRP do it during the recall and while the panels are off he can change my oil and do the necessary checks ect. Just don't want to rip apart the bike twice in a month, So I guess I wait, Its one of many Dilemas That BRP has put me through personally .... Long trips a,, Dilema, Should I pass Thru Town theres traffic and its hot,, Dilema ...." Honey going for a ride, not me that damn thing is too hot",, Dilema Those type of real hassles to me are the things that count.... they don't count to BRP. They just want to fix and make go away. I just want to ride and not worry about a damn thing....in my world that's what its all about. So I gotta thank BRP for the toaster oven and really dodging me the past 2 years, as the Dilemas continue. Life is short so I move along, in all actuality 26k is a lot to fry eggs.....:lecturef_smilie:

Hear ya..!!

I would wait to see how it is handled. For sure you could combine the update and service at a savings if you have a good dealer. Know those with the heat problems have had a rough time and hope this will be the fix needed...gotta say you must have fried a mess of eggs in 26,000 miles...:roflblack:

:agree: with the idea of having both the recall service and the regular maintenance taking place at the same time. No reason to bring the :ani29: in twice the same month.

Sorry to hear about all the issues and dilemma's you have had. Hopefully, the long awaited fixes will kick in to solve the issues causing the problems.

Anthony,

I'm guessing your opening message in this thread, with all those dilemmas, was a bit "tongue-in-cheek", right?

Here's my plan.
  1. Carry on and ride as usual until the recall parts are in (despite that expected CYA language in the Interim Recall Notice).
  2. Once that happens, make an appointment and get everything done that needs to be done.
