• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reason for big difference in steering & handling (RT versus Limited)

In recent weeks, I have test driven three 2014 Spyders. Two were RT Limited (demo's) with no options & third was an RT (brand new) with no options.

Bottom line, steering & handling in both Limited machines was considerably better than the RT.

One dealer mentioned that the air suspension in the Limited was probably why it drove so much nicer.

Your thoughts if you have additional feedback...

I suppose that it could be that...
The machines share everything else; it's about the only variable! :D

All the RT's have air suspension the Limited has an auto leveler a compressor and a switch on the dash to adjust it. I think the RTS has this as well. The basic RT you must add air yourself. Handling differences could be tire pressure and or alignment.

Bingo!!!!

Just had mine fixed....

I have to agree that I don’t believe that the auto-air suspension could make any difference in the handling.
I would say the base RT had something else with misadjusted or otherwise out of spec.

Chrome and Garmins have little to do with handling.

2014 RT-S... was drifting/pulling to the right ..... also seemed that the tires were out of balance.... took to Middletown Cycles (OH) and they found a sensor out of specs (according to computer).... that keeps this under control...... readjusted, and on my 75 miles ride home, it was like I was riding something completely different! Rode straight and the seeming out-of-balance tire(s) feeling disappeared. Ready for my trip to Maine and Nova Scotia!

Tire pressure. My dealer had my fronts set at over 30 psi. Road hard and steering handling was scary.

You were there right after me with the same problem. Yours got fixed with adjustment. Mine needed a new DPS. Weird. Mine took longer to fix, but it is fixed.
