• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rear turn signal bulb access

newbie question, on the 2020 RTL, is there access to the rear turn signal bulb via behind the side stowage compartments?

From pg 142 of the operator's guide: "Due to the complexity of the procedure, refer to an authorized Can-Am
On-Road dealer to replace bulbs of rear flashers and back-up light."

Sounds like a bunch of Tupperware removal.

I don’t know if you can actually get to the LED bulbs themselves, but you can get to the lighting assembly. However, it is a real pain.
- Remove the passenger seat
- Remove the trunk
- Open the saddlebags
- Remove the black plastic piece that goes from the top of the saddlebags the rear. LOTS of screws and rivets here, go slowly and carefully. Some have nuts, most Do not. The black rivets with the plastic screws are a pain and there are two sizes, so take note as to what size rivet goes where. Be prepared to crawl around a lot to find all the screws. If a part doesn’t budge easily look for (yet) another screw or rivet.
- Now you’re down to the panel on the back that houses the rear lights. There are bolts on either side that are on the top of the panel, and two skinny bolts that come in from the back. None of these 4 bolts are visible until you remove the piece in the previous steps. once these 4 bolts are out, the panel is held in place with pressure fittings (don’t know what they’re called), so a quick pull from the bottom should pull it loose.

I removed the rear mud flap to do this, but it wasn’t necessary and it was a real pain too re-install.

Good luck!

thanks to all, i am looking at getting a 20 rtl. what i think is that the rear turn signals are too low and not bright enough to adequately be seen effectively in traffic in my estimation. i was thinking of changing to led from current bulb. now, after seeing Lamonster mirror turn signal kit which is plug and play with the higher visibility and easier assembly, i would entertain going that way...
