We purchased the rear trunk bag and shelf. The bag is a little big for the opening but if you don't take it in and out a lot it's okay.
The problem arises when you want to plug in an IPOD or MP3 into the right plug. As soon as I put the bag back it not only disconnected the IPOD but it knocked the cap and lock ring off of the 7-pin connector and then the connector fell back into the speaker housing.
My fix was to take the rear fairing off from around the tail lights and latches in the back. Then take the speaker off. I then drilled a new mounting surface about 3-inches down on the vertical surface just beloiw the level of the oriigial opening and it puts it about and 1" below the deck. I plugged the hole above with the plug that had been in the passenger headset hole.
Since the left side power outlet is impeded by the bag also I added a Powerlet BMW Surface Mount Outlet on the left side below the deck level.
Now the bag can go in and it doesn't affect whatever is plugged in.
Can-Am could probably just make a diagram and have the dealer redrill the IPOD hole if you are going to buy the bag and flip down deck.
If anyone wants a photo let me know.
