• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Tire(stock) gone at 7800 Miles?

I have plans for a fairly long ride over the long holiday weekend and was told today rear tire is down into wear bars and wouldn't/didn't pass state MV inspection at a non-Cam An dealer. 279 to replace tire & mv inspection( 12.50) Is there such a thing as a "rear tire & axle out of alignment?" Oh ya, I forgot, 7800 miles! Also when I rode on two wheels, Honda VTX 1300R you/I had to watch out for "Old New Tires!" I returned a tire from a on line site that was 4 + years old an advertised as "Brand New!" Any comment, advice or opinion will be given serious consideration! PS: Can Am Dealer Would Not Mount or Install a non Spyder tire!

As for Rear Tire out of alignment, I can definately say yes, even after having a Can-Am dealership work on it(and do a belt alignment, even though it turned out the rear axle wasn't properly aligned). I ended up taking it on a trailer to Spyderfest and was able to get it properly fixed by Pitbull powersports.

It Shouldn't be any different, but The first dealer mechanic I had it serviced by "Changed the bearings" and "Aligned the Belt" all due to a strange rear axle area sound. Turned out it was a misaligned axle and then a bent rear brake rotor (likely caused by overheating due to the misalignment).

rear tire gone at 7k miles ?

Congratulations for being so gentle on your widdie biddy Kenda.

You actually did okay, compared to some of us. It's mostly a product of weight, acceleration, road conditions, inflation,
and a dismal tire. Most anything will be better. The reason alignment is off sometimes, is because the last wrenchmaster
didn't know right procedure. Mainly because it's tied into belt alignment and tension. It's like a three headed snake..
conquering ONE of those items is easy, TWO.. is also do-able, but getting all THREE ? You need someone that can follow
instructions, and takes the necessary time. good luck, all dealers are not created equal.

Well....

There was a production of oem tires on the early 14's with a different compound. Guess because of the engine and transmission change. They found they wore out relatively fast. :banghead:They subsequently changed them back. As for old tires....they are dated as to production but dealers hang on till they sell some for years..:banghead: hope your all set for the trip now...:ohyea:

Not Bad mine went at 5800 miles. You just joined the crappy tire club :roflblack: Go with a car tire next time MAny MANY post on this topic..
