• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear tire queston

I have 22,400 miles on the spyder.

:congrats:...…….However the amount of miles on the Spyder is only relevant if the tires are the ORIGINAL ones …………….. you stated the Generals had approx. 16,000 miles and that's the number that is meaningful ………………. Mike :ohyea:

The rear tire is the ORIGIANAL General Altimax RT 43 ( which was installed in 2015,).

Thanks!

:gaah: …. omg !!! ………. The " original " tire was what came with your Spyder - - - it was a Kenda !!! …. you replaced it with the General ( at my suggestion ) …. at about 6,000 +/- miles …….Your General NOW has about 16,000+/- miles ( you said this ) and plan on re-placing it ….. At about 16,000 +/- miles that is ( by far ) the LEAST amount of miles reported for needing a change for the Gen Altimax RT43 ….. just trying to clarify things here ….. Mike :ohyea:

I know the Original tire was a Kenda, Yes I did replace the General ( per your suggestion), yes I did say that.

Hope that clarifies things.

Yes this post does clarify something that I have suspected for years ...…………….Mike :ohyea:

I just have to find somebody to install the car tire. Not something I'm will to undertake myself.
~Sandee~

As stated above 98% of shops that do CAR tires can do Spyder tires ….. but almost all require you to bring the wheels/ties OFF the Spyder ….. The fronts aren't much more difficult than for a CAR ….. the rear requires more effort ………. mike :ohyea:
