• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear tire chgd. Yea Ride-On

RT-S PE#0180
Changed the rear tire last night but wasn't able to find anyone with a balancer with a small enough spindle to balance it so put in a bottle of Ride-On, took it out for a 15 min break in and then to the highway. WOW, no vibration and this is after I had removed all the old wheel weights. Either a GREAT new tire or Ride-On IS really the greatest product ever. I'm sooo happy:yes:
And, by the way, A BIG THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE'S HELP.

Another Ride-On benefit...

I'm using Ride-On as well and I noticed that the front tires are holding their pressure much better. I don't think 17-19 lbs creates keeps a very tight bead seal on tires and prior to using Ride-On, I was topping the pressures up every other ride. Hope it's not my imagination.

How many ounces did you use in the front?

From a prior Lamonster post...

How many ounces did you use in the front?

"I get a lot of calls, PM's and emails about how much Ride-On to use on the Spyder. The guys at Ride-On are getting the same calls and they have come up with a recommended amount for each tire of your Spyder for best results.

Your front wheels get 13 oz each
Your rear wheel gets 18 oz
You want to order the automotive treatment.
You'll need a total of 44 oz for best results.

This is one of the products that I really believe in. I've been running this in my Spyder for over 40,000 miles now and use it not only for flat protection but I don't run any wheel weights on my Spyder and have had great results. My ride is smooth and my tires wear evenly."

is the stuff made for balancing?

reading their website it looks more for tire sealant like a super improved tire slime.

talking to some motorcycle techs a few years ago they hated slime what it does to the inside when removing tires....

for balancing try dynabeads if you want to avoid the weights on tires... seems to work fine so far on the RTS. had it installed before we even got the RTS with only 2 miles on the odometer. at 2k still runs great tires seems balanced.
