• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went to the dealer today and purchased the rear speakers for the RT. Has anybody put these in or should I just have the dealer do it. They said about $100.00 to install.

Do it yourself. The instructions are in the box and with patience, you will do it. I did it myself and had a fun time doing it, plus exploring the back of my RT.

Be advised, it will NOT be easy... But you will do it patiently!!:lecturef_smilie:

I just purchased the rear speaker set as well. I love that the included wiring harness is just the passenger switch. I will tackel it next week when I get a chance. I also got the GPS cable for my Zumo...

I assume it will take several hours, but does not look to difficult.

At the same time, I will be putting the polk audio speakers in I got from Cowboom...(best buys outlet)...

$100 for the install, my dealer quoted me $300...:gaah:

bullant12,
How much of the rear end of the RT has to be taken apart?

The armrests in the back (this is where the speakers go) and the cover surrounding the back trunk and the back lights. You will start by removing some screws under the seat and in the side storage areas, but not all of them. The instructions will give you some guidance on which screws you need to remove. You will be using 2 torax size screwdrivers and a lot of patience (did I mention this?)nojoke

Remember that these are plastic panels you are removing so be very careful. And there are a lot of screws inside the speaker housing/armrest area) so make sure you know where each screw go. Have fun!

It is really pretty easy. You just have to take things apart in the correct order. Also, I like to put screws in zip lock bags that are labeled so i know where they go back. Taking the handgrips off makes it easier.
