• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear shock

My rear shock loses air pressure if the bike sits awhile. My dealer says this is normal. Is it?

Give us some info such as year and model of your Spyder and maybe someone on here can help you

If you put that info in your signature and you ever have any questions, than folks can see what exact Spyder you have so they can give you a more intelligent answer, this is not meant to pick on you, just to help you get a better response to any question.

"loses air pressure if the bike sits a while"...
How much air pressure does it lose, and how long does it take to lose it?
I'd start with checking the tightness of the schrader valve up top...
You dealer should probably check for the rest of the places where leaks can occur...
Good luck; please let us know what they find!

While it may be common, it is not normal. Running the rear suspension without adequate air can lead to premature failure. It is the dealer's responsibilityto find the source of the leak, no matter how difficult that may be. Most commonly it is the valve core of the Schrader valve, but the air piping or air bag, or the air release solenoid for an RTS or LTD have all been known to leak.

Mine did too had the dealer replace the lines and all is good now. It is not normal but if it is cold weather vs. hot weather it may lose a few pounds it does not hold much air. It should hold steady but even the processing of checking it will cause you to lose a Lb or 2 even if you are quick with the gauge.
