• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

REAR SHOCK COIL OVER REPLACEMENT

SHOCK

Has anyone replaced the rear shock coil over spring with one of a
stiffer spring rate ? That's on a F3.

Thanks
Ray
Something to consider is although not an F-3 , it has been done on RT's ..... the principle is the same tho .... I'm wondering if the RT shock is stronger ( higher weight capacity ) than the F-3 to begin with .... You should check the length tho ...... jmho ....Mike

Don't know. ..!!

But check parts lists they have offered different springs on some models. Can't remember what years...cheapcycleparts.com has parts lists and you can get the european parts from them as well...

Yes, for rear
brp sell what they call "two up" shock for the f3s. There are many threads on this. It made a big difference for me. Not adjustable.

Dochumphreys @ Roadster Renovations (a site sponsor) can fix your problem for about $60.00...

I looked at their website and the only thing they have are the little dodads
for the front suspension on a RT. What i'm looking for is a replacement
coil over spring with a stiffer spring rate than the one that's on there now.
There's a website F-O-A.com that sells replacement coil over springs with
different spring rates. I just don't know the size and the rate that's on it
now.

.. I think you should talk to someone at that business ..... if they are making shocks with stiffer springs ..... the only way they could be doing that ..... would be if they KNEW what the OEM Spring rate was !!!! ...........Mike

F3 Rear shock spring

Two up shocks are $200, i'm trying to avoid that.

You are asking to modify stock rear shock with only a spring change. IMHEO, E for engineering, I don't recommend because stock rear shock is engineered as an air pressure adjustable system and simply changing spring could lead to early system failure and a costly no warranty replacement. Why risk an expensive experiment with results unknown and a ride you may not be happy with. I would replace rear shock with an engineered Fox shock with mechanical adjustment... around $350 plus install or do it yourself. My friend with F3T is very satisfied with Fox shock for Spyders. It only costs a quarter more to go first class with positive results... anyway good luck with your decision.

A 2015 F3S is mechanical there's no air system it's just a shock with a coil over spring around it.

They sell replacement coilover springs, I was hoping someone thats done the upgrade
could give me a part number or a diameter and length of the current spring.
