• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear shock adjustment

I've got an '09 GS. I want to stiffen the ride from the current 3 to a 5. I jacked up the spyder from the rear of the frame, forward of the shock, then i tried to turn the adjuster with a ratchet and extension. I couldn't get it to budge :opps:...LOL. Any suggestions to make it easier? Thanks!!

My advice would be to spray a good penetrating oil around adjuster and shock,
that should make it easier to adjust.........

You jacked it up until the rear tire was suspended above the ground, hanging by the shock? If so, then the penetrating oil applied around the adjuster mechanism would be the next thing to try. After that, its just elbow grease to turn the adjuster.

Like a few have said, Jack it up , spray it down, Go one notch at a time slowly , Don't try to go strait to 5.
