• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Rim Question...

I love the Black Chrome rims that came with our RT-S up front. But I have to be honest and say the more I look at photos of nearly everyone else's Spyders and our bike, the more I dislike the flat silver color on the rear.

I want to make a change...

Has anyone successfully painted the rear rim (Meaning no flaking and can handle everything that happens to a rear rim)? Or are there Black Chromed Rear Rims being made somewhere?

My current thought is to just get a semi gloss Black engine paint and see how that does :dontknow:

Thoughts, ideas? Thanks!

I was thinkin the same thing. I have the RS and am going to buy the black phantom rims for the fronts and the back. I also wonder if engine paint would work. Surprised that nobody has tried it here. Probably would wear out after a while.

Have you seen the Rust-oleum wheel paint. I used it on my dump truck wheels and it looks great. There is a silver and charcoal. Might be some others too?

:gaah:Thanks fellas... Maybe I should just buy a used rear rim and have it stripped and re-powder coated black?? :dontknow: I will go search flea bay and see if any rears are for sale...

***EDIT*** Ugh! Only one.. New, $329 GS/RS only
