• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Rear radio controls not working...

Hey all!! Anyone have any issues with their passenger radio controls not working?? The volume up and down doesn't seem to want to work. Then change station will but not volume. Anyone have this issue??

Thanks.

Unless the passenger is using the BRP helmet wired connection, that's how it works. The volume controls work for the helmet speakers if you have the BRP helmet communication system.

display scree

With the bike in park you can scroll to a screen to adjust the balance from forward to rear. I had to put almost all the volume to the rear for my teenage daughter.

As stated the passenger volume controls only work with the wired helmet setup.

So this is normal.

Thanks all!! Makes sense!! :-)

It does and it doesn't make sense. Why have the option there if you can't use it. Why can't it work both ways? There is times when the wife likes turned up more and times turned down. Why do we have to have helmet speakers to control the volume

I understand what you are saying. If they are there why not control it all and not limit it. :dontknow:

Had the same question....and the dealer did too!

After we brought home our Spyder we thought out passenger controller was broke too. Took it to the dealer and they said they would fix it...then realized there was nothing to fix. :yikes:

From a marketing perspective you would think they would either not have that controller or would make it work both ways. With the way it is now, all it does is cause confusion (for the buyer and the dealer) and give us something to complain about.

Of course, there is another way to look at it...it's a great excuse to go buy some Spyder helmets....;)

Well you only need the headset. Which the folks we purchased ours from had them so we do now as well. :) But I agree would be nice to make it work both.

They work

The wired spyder headsets work well but only sound fair. It is a really handy thing to be able to listen at reasonable volume levels without having to blast the speakers that loud. Neither the speakers nor the wired headset provide beyond fair audio. That being said, it is really nice to have fair am/fm radio and fair XM radio right in your helmet. If you need an excellent sound system, drive a car.
