• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

REAR FOOT PEGS TOO LOW

bandwagon

Since adding the Corbin bags, my wife is having problems with the lowered peg position. Corbin replaced original position in order to acommodate their bags. Wife is now on her toes and using her knees putting the clamp on me just trying to keep from sliding. I was wondering what was happening back there. As she complained about her legs hurting, I had know idea that she was using her toes just to reach the pegs. Question is there a way to fix this problem? Does anyone sell some sort of riser that can be bolted in for height?

A funny (at least to me) picture came into my mind of those wooden blocks that they used to sell to put on kid's pedals on trikes so the short legged kids could reach. Seriously, I don't know exactly how the footpegs mount onto Corbin's bracket but there are some footpeg extension brackets made for various types of pegs and mounts, from various aftermarket companies. Maybe something like that could work for you guys.

Got the same set-up and for the oppisite reason ( wife has long legs ) we ordered Kuryakyn Rear Peg Adapters part # KUR-8848. Now you have to grind a small amount of the peg mount bracket from Corbin to make them work (make the hole in Corbin bracket line up with Kuryakyn peg adapter )and if you install them upside down they will raise stock peg about 1 inch and move it back about an inch. Now if you order Kuryakyn Widow pegs the width of these pegs will push the peg back about another 1 to 2 inchs for a total 1 inch rise and 2 to 3 inch back towards hard saddle bags. Sponser Direct Parts sells these.

Thanks, I will go this route (Kuryakyn)

I wish I had my 1974 stacks , pack them with cotton and she could wear those. They were multi-colored leather. :shemademe_smilie: :roflblack:

This is my set up for the rear pegs all from Kuryakyn

peg adaptor #8816 with a 1/4 inch shim from a 1x1 x1/4 aluminium angle
adjustable lockable offset # 4559
The adjustable 4 inch offset gives you a 360 degree option.
It's not easy to find parts for a spyder most of them we have to adapt.

Hope it will help.
