• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where did you get your new tag mount from? That looks nice. I've seen some that just look like bent tin and yours has a nice shape to it.

I have mine off and have had no problem with water or anything flinging up. Here is a shot of mine and Johns with his modified fender, which I have done the same to mine if I ever decide to put it back on.

McK is right....I took the rear fender that I removed and cut the license plate holder off of it.
I like the way that it looks stock and part of the original bike.

The question I have about those license plate mounts is if there is enough clearance between the tire and the plate if you bottom out the Spyder. Thats probably not an issue for many Spyder riders but for a heavyweight like me (250 - 260 lbs.) bottoming out on rough roads happens. I do like the high center mount and I'm working on something like it that allows enough clearance between the plate and the tire. My first two attempts with a modified motorcycle fender still gave me plate / tire rubbing problems. I now have cut that fender down quite a bit and it works 99% of the time but I still get the occasional plate rub. I think my problem is now isolated to the undertail pan where I'm mounted. It is too flexible and I need to stiffen that up. If I can't do that to my satisfaction, I've spoken with Magic Man about buying one of his lighted plate frames and mounting the plate by the left passenger peg or near the left axle nut. Here are a few pictures of what I'm working with now. Please excuse the dirty Spyder. :opps:
