• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear brake pads????

Hi folks,

I just had to do the 2nd parking brake adjust in less than a year. I noticed that I have very little adjustment left.

So to you shade tree mechanics; is this an indicator of needing rear brake pads?

Thanks for any info provided,

Not really...

Jerry I have adjusted the cable several times then moved the lever up a knotch or two and added fluid. Have close to 27,000 miles and brakes are still good. This varies I ryde manual and use engine compression a lot and its an RS much lighter. You can check the pads by stacking business cards and sliding them on the disk to the pad to see your pad thickness then judge if it's time...
