Okay, I'm confused. I don't agree with infringement on someone's rights. Why would you say, "Let them wait"?

You ARE correct: this is an unabashed abridgement of their Second Amendment Rights... :banghead:
While I deplore that; I also deplore the level of "insulation", that these officials have, that protects them far better than the citizens they are sworn to protect.
If they see how the other half lives; they may be forced to change some of the perceptions that they have.

I would liken to what would happen, if all of the elected Federal Officials had to get their health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, and abide by the rules and regulations that they rest of us must endure.:shocked:

Actually they are very clever and underhanded by saying " you want to work for us you cannot own a gun".

two weeks ago i contacted a gun permit lawyer, i asked if i can get a carry in NYC being i have had a target / premise permit for over 40 years. he wrote back and asked what did i do for a living, and what reason do i need one for. after i gave him my reasons why i feel i wanted one he wrote back and said to forget it, i would never qualify for one and i should not wast my time trying. it is almost impossible to get one here in the city
