• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really frustrated. Louise 2013 Dead..AGAIN

Just want to say Thanks to all who have chimed in with advice and well wishes. We are beyond frustrated, especially since I have my RT just the way I want it; I really do love that bike, I'm just shy of 10K miles. This is the only bike that seems to work for me after 5 back fusions. My Harley was never enjoyable after the 3rd fusion.

I agree with you the Harley would beat you up after a nice right..The spyder is really smooth..

Interesting re the conflicting results for indicated error After checking Spyder Codes (believe I have the lastest version) I found the following results.

P0122 - (ECM) Engine Control Module
P2229 - (BA) Backup Actuator
P2801 - (B.U.D.S) BRP Universal Diognostic Software

I believe a previous post about the possible coruption of B.U.D.S upload after the heat issue rectification could be a good call. I was watching while my 2013 RT was being modified and the technician didn't ensure the B.U.D.S was pluged into a mains power supply as intidcated in the modification documention and anyway long story to short, B.U.D.S ran out of power. The mechanic just attempted to continue update from where he "thought" he was up to until I drew his attention to the revelevant documention that the whole process had to be started afresh.

As I have used Spyder Codes quite often(thankfully mostly on friends Spyders) I would be very interested to hear about the difference in results I found for the indicated codes and billyvouine's results as this is the first time I've had cause to doubt the accuracy of SpyderCodes.

It looks like you got your info from one of Rogers phone apps. What you have listed for each code is a definition of acronyms found in the problem description. The actual fault description you need to read farther down.

Hmm found different code descriptions my self
P0122 ECM First TAS shorted to GND

P2229 ECM Ambient pressure sensor shorted to V+

P2801 ECM Gear position sensor invalid range

It looks like a wiring short to me :dontknow: These codes do reference the throttle (TAS) maybe a bad throttle or shorted one?

If the dealer does not get it right this time see what Steve at BRP can come up with. I guess you already no a trade is the final answer. That's what I finally had to do. Billfold is still sore but no more greif.

James....I know I have a ST 2013 and Louise has 2013 RT....but Mancuso Gulf fwy did my flash on the ECM and guess what....it was never totally completed....Pitbull and BRP had to re-flash......Mancuso does not send their mechanics to BRP school....they only take the online course....I do not trust any Mancuso dealership......we trailer mine to Pitbull....good luck....Steve @ BRPcare is a good guy and I'll bet he'll do everything in his power to make it right

If it were not for the recall, her bike would never have gone to Mancuso. Now we are stuck with a bike that is pretty much useless for its intended purpose. The only way we see out of this in a timely fashion is ditch the bike and start over with one not yet mucked with. Unless the trouble with Louise bike is something really simple, like a connector loose and can be plugged back in, this will not end with the bike repaired and her back on it.

We are packing up and leaving on vacation thursday. One way or another. I will try and push BRP to make this right but given the time constraints, I don't have a lot of wiggle room and they will take advantage. I hate to give them more of my money but there really is no other option other than give up and quit riding.

I will be asking BRP for some specific assistance once the direction we are going is known.

Once the bike is at Mancuso tomorrow we will work to make this right. I will report back if or if not BRP is of any help. Not that it really matters much. We keep buying them because no one else builds one.

Here's to hoping that the fix is found quickly, and is effective! :2thumbs:

If we had the time, we would go to Pitbull, but their isn't any time. Once back from Durango from this trip, I'm headed right back with my Mom. Then we're to be in Boerne for the Hill Country Ride...

What is your issue? Same as jc? You haven't clued us in that I can find.

throttle body?

sounds to me like the throttle body needs to be replaced.
My 2013 STL was having similar issues and they replaced the throttle body after trying several other fixes, it must be a difficult one to diagnose? and now it runs fantastic no more stalling for the last 7K
