• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had my 12K service done, Elka shocks installed, and I'm ready to ride. Leaving Wed or Thur for Maggie Valley. Unfortunately Sis has not healed enough to make the trip, so I'll be riding up alone. Hope to see y'all in NC...

Thanks RL, but in order to be in Lake City by 7am I'd have to leave about 4am, and the only time I see 4am is if I get up to pee. :yikes: I may also have to do a little work for HP before I take off. I'll see y'all in Maggie Valley. Have a safe trip.

That goes for you too Doc, be safe...

Mike, Cindy and I are truly sorry that Sis won't be able to make it. However, we're glad to see that you will. We are staying at the Alamo Motel in a little tin shed, but very nice. You have my cell if cell phones are working.

John, as in Sis' case above, Cindy and I are sorry that ya'll won't be making it. I note that you said take lot's of pics. I guess "the group" is going to have to nominate a new "picture taker" now that Carol is enjoying that beautiful spyder of hers.

I just spent a month up there. Night ryding...deer are out in full force now, along with groundhogs. For the quicker ryders, Tenn police and NC police working hard on highways, 129 and 28. Logging trucks making thier annual appearance too. Have a great time, wish I could go back up.
PS 16-22nd, no planned groups meeting at the Dragon, so it should just be normal chaos.

Thanks Chris, John and Doc. We're disappointed that Sis can't make it too, we've been looking forward to the trip. But it wouldn't be much fun if she was in constant pain, and we have a project being done on the house and she feels better about being here to oversee things. As for her wayward husband, well he just a drifter, always taking off for strange places :2thumbs:.

Cherokee should be fun, and now we get a $25 gas card from BRP, a nice jesture.

Sorry you won't be able to make it Dave, you would have made an excellent guide.

Yippee! How do you like the Elka's??? I have mine fixed this am - what a world of difference!!!!

I love the Elka's, even though I haven't had a chance to ride on them very much. They make a huge difference. I'm really looking forward to the ride to Maggie Valley, what a great "break-in" for my shocks.

Thanks Annie...
