Good Luck! Considering the New RTS SE5 is $27,200- If you get a 2011 RTS SE for $23,000 plus taxes , title and reg you did Very Good!!

Well thanks to all you guys help, I am the proud owner of a new Spyder RT-S SE5. Unfortunately they sold the black spyder yesterday so I missed out. I ended up purchasing a Blue one for $25000 out the door not including the extended warranty. I did have an issue that left me a little worried. After leaving the dealership, I received a flashing check engine warning light after I had driving about 20 miles. Call the dealership an ended up having to drive back. They hooked it up to the Bud and received an ECM error, I think that what it was. They removed the covers and checked all the connections. The error eventually went away so they sent me on my way again. However, the error returned at about the same distance as before. I continued my drive home because the dealership had already close. Stop at a gas station and filled up with 93 octane and after driving about eight more miles, the error went away and has not returned. The dealer stated they used 87 octane instead of 93, not sure if that made a difference in the error or not. I am starting to adjust to the spyder, I just hope the error does not return.

Good deal Tim and welcome to the spyder family. I don't think the gas is the issue, unless the RT had some bad gas in it. My RT likes 89 octane, but I have used 87 and 93 with out any issues.

Sounds like you got a great deal. Bummer that the black was sold out, but blue is awesome.

Thanks Harddrive, I feel I got a fair deal as well. My wife actually liked the blue better yhan the black so I pulled the trigger.

Wow, I ask the service guy was the oil level correct and he said absolutely. I think I will check the level tomorrow myself, thanks for the heads up.

Congrats on your new Spyder! Make sure to follow the procedure on checking the oil as described in the owners manual. It is very different than checking the oil in your car! If you check it while it is cold before starting it, I can guarantee you that you will over fill it! (no need to ask why I know this..)

Tim, I live in Birmingham and purrchased mine...2011 RT SM5 Red with all the goodies, from Big#1 here in Birmingham. I was over at the dealer this afternoon...for other reasons than my Can Am...they have a 2012 RT SM5, just like mine and also a RT limited in stock. The MSRP on mine was 27 and they took 2K off of that. I think all of the dealerships ...or stealerships...charge you for everything that is ever done to the machine, but Big#1 did deliver mine to my house..on a trailer and at no charge!!.
