Could not push the rear tire any further down the road. After all it did give us about 18,000 miles And the original fronts, while maybe good for a few more miles, had also serviced us well at just shy of 24,000 miles.
We had our dealer put another Kumho on the rear and two Kendas up front. Paid Tire Discounters $81 for the Kumho back in October and was charged $84 each for the Kendas.
While they had the bike I had fresh brake pads (EBC @ $43.60 each) and a brake fluid flush done. Total tab was $605. Have scheduled a ROLO laser alignment check at a dealer two hours north of us this Friday. I had them do an alignment back in October but would like it checked before we put too many miles on these new tires.
Good to go as come August I'll be doing the Black Hills and the Badlands with three buddies for a week. I'll then travel down to Denver and pick the wife up at the airport and together we plan to tour Colorado, Utah and Nevada for the following 2 to 4 weeks.
Thinking about hooking up with someone in Colorado who may be kind enough to offer a secure location to park our Suburban and trailer so we could do these states all from the Spyder. Specific planning is incomplete but I thought I would see if this part may be possible.
Looking forward to another great summer touring our great country!
