• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please read your post before you hit "SUBMIT NEW THREAD" or "SEND" or "SAVE"

It will help you get the information you seek, if other folks can understand what information you need.

Be sure to tell us what model and year Spyder you are asking for information about (or put that info in your signature so we can see it).

Be as specific as you can on the nature of your problem.

Use the spell checker that is built into this system.

If you proof read your post prior to sending it, and it makes no sense to you, it will probably not make any sense to us.

This is not meant to be sarcastic to anyone, it is meant to help you get the proper information that you seek.

If you are just making a joke, (we need occasional jokes to help us get by), be sure that we know it is a joke by using emoticons or some other form of conveying that to us.

Merry Christmas to all. (Going to get a Snickers Bar

I remember one thread that started out,

"Help, my battery won't start, could it be too old??"

How many bad threads can you remember?? List them here.

Sometimes I wonder if English is their first language and something is lost in translation, or simply some can't get words from brain to text easily.:dontknow:

I'll add one:

Actually read the post before you reply. In particular look for the sentences that end with a question mark.

I don't have any Snickers, but I recall a Hershey's dark chocolate in the freezer. I'll look for that.

Good advice for us newbies.

Trust me, this issue is not exclusive to Spyderlovers. Some of the stuff I have to deal with on the Cub Cadet forum that I'm a moderator on makes my head hurt. :banghead::banghead:

Great one...

Always up for a reminder...:bowdown: have to be thankful that we can edit our posts. Have had to it a time or two myself..:banghead: words spoken in haste ... you know..:roflblack:

Joe, thank you very much for posting that. I have to admit that after reading some of my posts, I've gone back and edited them, I can't spell to start with, and who ever said it, it is a good thing that you can edit what is posted. I don't think you need a Snickers, but If you do, I'll be glad to send you a box.
