• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Re-invent the spyder

I am looking to do some bodywork to my Spyder. I want to extend the body of my RS 09 series a couple of inches in lenght and pull in the front tires inward (closer together) a couple of inches. I called the dealer here in Delaware and I was told that this would end my warantee if I procede with the face lift. I have a mechanic that specialize in collision re-work, but has never worked on a spyder before, and tells me he can do it for $10,000 and would take 2 weeks.

This Forum is full of experts so I am asking is it worth it? At one point, I was the only one in my neighborhood with a spyder. Recently, I saw two couples with two spyders. I need to step up the paste and make mines special and unique. Can anyone here recommend the best way to modify my spyder?

Also, I would like to make my rims glow sliver when I'm riding. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of ways to make the vehicle unique without modifying it so extensively. I'd certainly consider them. This is more than mere "bodywork". Modifying the suspension could have serious safety and handling consequences, so be prepared for unwanted results that could render your Spyder useless. While the suspension modifications can render any related failure not warranteed, a manufacturer cannot void a warranty across the board, under the Magnuson-Moss Act. Bodywork modifications are cosmetic, and would only affect the warranty on those parts...and then only if they were cut, extended, shortened, etc.

simple answer

no, it isn't worth it, especially if it will void your waranty. get a custom paint job or a wrap. gloryders will light your front wheels. l e d strips will light your rear.

Look at VTC for body panels, saw a super tricked out RS that was completely different from any others at spyderfest. That would be Vertika trikes Canada

Narrowing the front suspension will reduce wheel travel and also make the bike "Tippier"...
I'd think a bit more than twice about doing this...
But custom bodywork... Let's see what you can get done! :2thumbs:
