• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

raw design power puc?

new design just gold rings, u dont remove wheel, i think they just for reg bikes though

Ok gotcha. That means the spyder still uses the old design, because you still have to remove the wheel, and do it all just like the vids.

if i wrap and dont drill holes in wheel do i still need to drill in axle?

I don't see any way around that because of the rotation. The wire coming from the puc through the axle to connect to the wheel wire is the only wire in the 3 point system that has rotational risk involved with it. So it needs to be as "straight" as possible. I've actually put thought into this very question, but every scenario I came up with revealed a vision of the wire getting tangled in rotation.

have u drilled the holes? if so how hard was it to do?

I ordered new hubs and drilled them on the bench(if you go that route you need to order new bearings as well),I have a history of breaking bits when drilling deep!!My dealer changed them up for me for a hundred bucks.
I too have chrome wheels, that hole was easy to drill. No big deal.Oh,I installed 12 medium per wheel.

cool u have any pics of how leds are laid out? how bright is the 12?

I have nothing that I can show you as I've sold the bike, but what I did was run 6 on the width of the wheel(evenly spaced) and 2 up the sides of each spoke. This gave it lots of depth. ...and it was fairly easy to solder them together.
(And yes you can learn to solder on the fly, there is also cold solder kits available)

This is the exact setup I'm gonna do if the 15 don't work. Actually the only difference between my 15 idea and this setup is 1 more extra light on each spoke side which means 3 lights running the spoke instead of 2.

cool i looked at soldring video def easier than i thought lol, i might do that instead of trying to run 100 wires lol

any pic updates yet?

Not much, but here's one. I've installed the front pucs and drilled all the holes. The axle hole was not hard, just long. You have to let go of being used to drilling quick holes and just accept that you've gotta a ways to go. LOL
