• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RAM Mount Aqua Boxes

Well I killed my second XM by leaving it out in the rain. I did use a bag to cover it when I was going down the road and I knew I might hit rain. That worked fine but looked kinda tacky so I was on a mission to either find a waterproof XM that I could move from bike to bike to truck or try and find some kind of way to protect it from the rain. The problem is around here you never know when you're going to get dumped on so you pretty much have to be on your toes as far as protecting your radio.

I looked at the GPS that had the built in XM but I didn't want to give up my 5" screen on my iway600 so that was out. I did find a waterproof XM that is made for a Harley but in fine print it says "not to use it near a GPS" so that was out. Then I stumbled on another board that was talking about using a Aqua Box from Ram Mounts. This looked like the killer deal so I ordered one. I went with the small box and it just fits my Roady2 XM but I think this is going to work great to keep the rain out. They have a box to fit just about anything and with the ball mount I can move it from my bike to my Spyder to my truck pretty quick. You guys may already knew about these but I didn't and maybe this will help someone else.

Don't know how cool it is but that rain we got on Friday in Daytona is the kind of thing that will kill an XM radio in a hurry. I left the Spyder out all night here at the house and forgot to bag my XM and it killed it. :'(
