• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Raising RT Just Enough To Spin The Tires-How To?

Synthetic

New member
Does anyone have an idea how I might raise up the RT-L just enough to spin the tires (for cleaning) without using an ATV type jack?
The more simple the better….

JACK

....See what's in your car trunk, you might have a small scissor jack in there......I would be very careful if you do this spinning VIA the motor. If it falls off......VERY BAD things are going to happen, even if the wheels are chocked. Also the NANNY doesn't like it...... So only IDLE it........My advise is turn the tire by hand ......jmho....Mike

Make sure the ignition is OFF if you turn just the front or back wheels by hand - the Nanny gets really upset if one end reports turning & the other end doesn't!

Harbor Freight make a motorcycle wheel cleaning stand,21.99.I use it on my wifes bike and it should be wide enough for the Can Am front wheels. You just pull the wheel on the 2 rollers and spin the tire by hand.

This is what I have used for my motorcycle for years. I just need to buy another one for the spyder. I will work very well.

I have that same roller from Harbor Freight. It worked great for the two wheeler i had, but i would have to buy another one for the Spyder. I just idle the :spyder: set the parking brake, wipe the wheels, move it a little forward or backwards set the parking brake, and wipe the part that was on the ground and i'm done.

I just leave the parking brake off an in Neutral. My spyder rolls easy in my shop. Also good for adding air to the Tyres.

Rolling it forward and backwards doesn't work for me….the Harbor Freight item looks like it'll work great for me….

Where can I find one of the 20% off coupons? I don't remember seeing on anywhere...

Thanks

Normally they will be in most any car or motorcycle magazine. If you cannot find one, shoot me an address, and I can mail you a couple if you would like. They are in my local paper every sunday.
