• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

raising handlebars on 2015 rt

Other than the tri axis, what options are available for 2015 rt? Distance from bars is ok. Price and ability to save install price either by diy or easy dealer install will be an option.

it surprises me that a good machinist hasn't offered up some base mounts of various heights. I know mine could stand to be 3 or 4 inches higher. it would make my arms and shoulders more comfortable. i'am 6'3" and I have to reach down to the bars. these bikes are just not made for tall people. My Harley Road King is a more comfortable ride.

tri axis bars will give you height and distance if you want it.I am 6'4 and had them installed and it made a big difference in comfort.

Making a chunk of metal into a block to raise the entire handlebars would be extremely challenging!
The key switch and mounting for it would be a problem especially with the way it has to pull cable to open the seat and frunk. You would have to have cable extensions, etc. The maybe even extensions for the wires in the handlebars!

The Tri-axis handlebars are not really raised up. It has a tilt function the raises them but does not affect the keys witch or anything else below the center of the handlebars.

:agree: There's a whole bunch of "stuff" hooked to those bars, and moving them would present more problems that you'd want to try and solve.
The Tri-Axis bars are simply; the best solution!

Thanks for the advice. Looks like ride it as it is for a while and if that doesn't work, Tri axis...

I'm about 6'4" and have Tri-Axis bars. I've never had a reach problem and when I first got the Spyder home I adjusted them toward me just a tad, up to my satisfaction, and have no idea how much farther up I could have gone if I wanted to do so. They'll never be ape hangers but who wants ape hangers on a Spyder?
