• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RAIN

Harvey

New member
I own a 2013 TR Ltd. If I get caught out in the rain, and the Spyder is parked, will the rain damage the speakers, key switch, seats or anything else. I usually take the GPS off and cover the mounting module with the provided cover.

I do not want to cover and uncover every time I stop for a short period of time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Harvey, I've ridden in near hurricane conditions and nothing went wrong. Now you can do damage with a high pressure water spray at the car wash. Spyders handle great in the rain.

Been in downpours

Yep they survive just fine...have chamois or something similar to at least wipe seat and windshield down...saves a lot of water on you and passenger!!! I'm not nearly as waterproof as Ms Spyder is!! :roflblack:

Not a problem...!!

your waterproof and so is the roadster. Do recomment that once you stop for the night through a cover over her...

Travel cover is the answer

We were in the Black Hills, SD visiting family and ryding. We got stuck in the rain by Mount Rushmore.....we used the travel cover (at Keystone, SD) and kept our helmets with Bluetooth under it as well. I think it was a record of about a minute to put it on and run for cover. Rained about two hours. When we came back, seat, helmets, etc. we pretty dry.

I also use the travel cover when the bike needs to stay outside overnight when we travel with it. I agree with earlier posts....not too expensive and well worth it!

Wife and I came over Stevens Pass WA the end of Sept. 13. I checked the Fed Weather Station on the pass and it was raining 1" and hour and about 45 degrees. No probs with bike. Know this is not much rain for some of you but a bunch for me at the time .
