There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Rain Gear

I know this has been discussed in a previous thread and everyone had their suggestions and favorites, but has anyone tried the rain gear put out by BRP, one piece or the two piece. Just curious.

I thought hard about the BRP one piece. I tried one on but it was very snug and very "grabby". I never did get it on over my boots, even after five minutes of struggling while sitting on a chair. I finally gave up and bought a BMW one-piece suit. Whatever you do, try your selection on before you buy.

I got the two piece for $250, pants leaked right from the start and right where you don't want them too :opps:. They fit good but didn't do much for me where it counted. At Spyderfest I rode in heavy rain for about three hours wearing my TourMaster riding gear with no wet spots. So much for buying expensive rain gear.

Thanks for the response. I'll continue my search, maybe even check with Bajaron and see what he has to offer.

There are a lot of options out there. I carry Firstgear, Frogg Toggs and River Road rain gear.

Then there are jacket/pant combinations designed to be stand alone and keep you dry at the same time.

I have the BRP textile coat with liner. This works pretty good as rain gear. Has never soaked through on me.

My gear of choice is Firstgear--I have two different coat, pants, combos with the liners. Been in some heavy rain and always came through dry.

One piece suits don't work for me because I am to short and rotund. I don't want to pay the price for something like an Aero stitch--even though I can get it tailored to fit me.

Good advice to try before you buy--sizes vary between manufacturers. Example: BRP seems tight comdpared to Firstgear in the same sizes.

Don't forget TourMaster... :thumbup:Eighty bucks for a one-piece suit!
Ron's Firstgear suits are just as waterproof, but geared (in my opinion) for colder weather riding. I'm eventually going to have to pick one of them up so that the ryding season can be extended!

My Wife and I use a FirstGear mesh with the zip in liner and Coleman camping rain pants( Walmart $9.95 each). We road for hours in heavy rain and stayed dry. That's IMHO.
