There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Rain gear by Ride Tribe

I've never started a thread on any forum before, :opps: but absolutely love SPYDERLOVERS:yes: My question is, Has anyone out there tried the one-piece rain gear by Ride Tribe? It is pricey, but comes with a pretty good guarantee. Here's the site and video: http://www.ridetribe.net/product/motorcycle-rain-gear. Hopefully I did this right. If anyone knows about this product let us know.

:welcome: Your new thread is working.

Can't answer your questions though. I think your going to find Frog Toggs are very popular.

I forgot . . .

Forgot to tell you I bought a 2016 F3T last July and put almost 6000 miles on it so far. The best ride ever:firstplace:. I'll try to put a pic of the old ride I had, but had to go with something a little easier to handle. I'm sure glad I did.

Anyhow, I looked up the Frogg Toggs, but they don't have a 1-piece suit. I just wish I could find someone who has tried the Ride Tribe suit as some of the other 1-piece suits I've researched leaked through the zippers in the crotch. I don't like riding in wet undies! :roflblack:

First love: VW trike 1600+ cc.

True love: 2016 F3T.

I don't honestly think I'd like a one piece suit, BUT the best thing I see about the Ride Tribe suit is it comes in Tall sizes. Since I'm not circumfrentially expansive it's a PITA to have to buy XL pants to get inseam length to come close to fitting. The Ride Tribe suit is pricey though.

Yep, I have a Ride Tribe suit. Most “uncustomer” based company I have ever dealt with. You might do alright if you are ordering a stock size, but I asked for a long to fit my 6’7” frame. After contacting them half a dozen times over 4 months and receiving lame excuses as to why it hadn’t shipped, I was finally told it was on its way. Sure enough, it looked good until I put it on. It had 38” sleeves......fantastic......it had 28” inleg......WHAT? The legs would have been too short for Danny DeVito......useless to me. I had specified in my order that I needed a 38” inseam and was told that 38” was indeed the long length. I called them back to tell them, and was told that they were “disappointed that I didn’t like the fit” WHAT?

I asked them to provide the suit as agreed with 38” arms and 38” inseam. After a further 3 months, I contacted them again and was told they were working on it. 2 months after that, it arrived. I took it out of the box and held it up and it looked great........until I put it on. The zippers stopped at my knees, and there was a piece of Velcro at the bottom of the leg. This meant that there was zero fastening between the knee and the cuff and as soon as you move it billows open. I’ll leave it to you to imagine how this would go in a storm. I am currently looking at weatherproof velcro options that I can fasten to the legs.

Hopefully, this disgraceful example of a complete lack of quality control is only a one (or two) off. The suit is very easy to put on, but I have been unable to test it in rain as yet, for obvious reasons. If you end up dealing with Taylor Brown, don’t believe a word he says. I am still waiting for his reply on options to fix the seal issue from an email I despatched months ago.

If you decide to go with them, I sincerely hope you have a better experience than me

:congrats:..:welcome:..... After reading what Peteoz had to say about this company :yikes::yikes::yikes: .... One of our Vendors here " BajaRon " has some really good quality rain gear at a very attractive price and He is one of the nicest people to deal with and the most honest ...... Look on the Home page for His ad .....you won't be dis-appointed ... Mike

I hate rubbishing a vendor based on one experience, but there was not one thing in my many discussions with Ride Tribe that was positive. Ride Tribe are part of a much larger organisation that does work clothing in bulk, and I don’t believe they are well set up to handle individual requests, especially when the request ends up being custom. However, they DO advertise that they can handle individual purchases, so they have to accept the blame for a poor customer experience.

It could well be that if you are buying an average sized suit from existing stock, the service is excellent, but they appear to fall down as soon as they encounter any kind of road block ;)

Having dealt with Ron, and having him go to great lengths to source a 4XLT Frogg Toggs outfit for me (even though it didn’t end well as Frogg Toggs decided to change the length of their pants/jackets so the gear ended up too short for me..........absolutely NOT Ron’s fault), I agree with Mike that you can’t go wrong dealing with Ron.

I purchased First Gear 2 piece rain gear from BajaRon and I love it. Storage bag is built into the jacket, both pants and jacket are very compact for storage.
You also could not ask for better customer service than what you will get from BajaRon, very personable hand on will take care of you type of guy!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Aerostich

There are many suits out there. Tried some, and found Aerostich. Done. Been "Stiched up" since 2006, and have never been wet. Or cold, or miserable, and while expensive, worth it. Have you ever been unhappy with the very best?;)

Fatcycledaddy, which jacket and pants did you purchase from Ron, the Rainman or Sierra jacket, the Splash or Sierra pants? Thanks.
