• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rain! Another Reason to Love A Spyder

How bad is it before you don't ryde?

It's going to be cold in the morning, and I really want to ryde to work on Fridays, but I will admit to being very much a wimp when it's cold.

It's 70 out there right now but the winds are high, and it's supposed to get a lot colder by morning. I have to go out of town tomorrow night, so ryding over the weekend is not possible.

Just wondering. I have a feeling when I step outside tomorrow (6:30'sh), I'll be bundled up and just head for the car.

;)
I ride down until it snows, even in the rain, but I am less likely to get bundled up for a wet trip on a cold (below 45) day. Takes too long to spend a half hour dressing and the same undressing for a ten minute errand.

Last Saturday morning 46F and breezy. Headed out on the :spyder2: for early voting, errands etc. Had on long sleeve ryding shirt, light jacket and leather gloves. Loved it. This Saturday, toy run, temps expected in the mid 20s Saturday morning. Leather jacket, leather gloves, lower face wrap and maybe long johns under the pants. Oh, and I wear my colors (vest) too.

I love to ryde my spyder in the rain. My last bike was a 750Honda and I always felt as though i was hydroplaning. Scary:shocked:...... I do not like the tall windshield. Too much distortion looking through too many layers.....then again , I do ride with fringe....mabe I just like elemental abuse.:f_spider:

Lamonster is the Best

Thanks!

I will look into the rain repellent. I do have a taller windshield - I tend to look over it, but it does help with keeping bugs away from me!

The more challenging the weather, the more it keeps the "less-than-serious" off the road and out of my way... :D The only month I've never ridden in is January and that's more a function of road conditions than weather ... (But then I was never blessed with an overabundance of common sense!)
