Radio doesn't always go off until lights go off - is this normal?

I just got a 2017 RTS about a month ago. I’ve noticed the sometimes when I turn off the key, the radio will go off, and sometimes it will stay on until the lights go off. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong sometimes ? Thanks

Interesting question and I'll watch for responses because my 2014 usually turns off right away when I turn the key off but at times the radio will keep playing until the lights go out.

I am going to have to turn my radio up before shutdown. .... just to see..hmm.

I haven't noticed this with mine. I do know if you hold down the mode button for a few seconds, the radio will remain on. If this happens again, you could turn the ignition switch on/off again and this will turn off the radio. Dale

Yes, indeed. Mine will do this two or three times a year. I just let it go and listen until the computer shuts off the lights.
