• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for ideas where to mount radar detector on an RT. Preferably easily removed. Ran a search and not much came up. Thanks. Dan

I mounted mine on a bracket I made for the handle bars it has a flat plate with Velcro but the problem is that you can't see or hear it so after trying blue tooth dangles and wiring to helmet speakers I found mark pryne industries makes a super brite led that is fired off the speaker out and I mounted it up under windshield in my line of site it works great and I don't have to think to look down and see the unit

I use an irad 900 so I mount the actual detector just behind the frunk lid and the display shows on my phone. I also hear it in my helmet with my sena paired to my phone. Works great!

Radar detector?? You don't need no stinkin' radar detector! Just don't go more than speed limit + 5. :lecturef_smilie: Never been stopped yet and move smoothly with traffic. Surprisingly consistent around the country.

and this is how i mounted the clip to the detector... it's a clip from a pants hanger, i cut the 2 ends of, and glued on to the bottom, and clip it to my cross-bar...

I agree.I ride to enjoy the scenery. When I want to go for a spirited ride I enjoy the back roads.Plus no radar detectors allowed up here.

In Canada they are allowed in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In most of the other provinces you not only get a big fine but the detectors are classified as contraband and will be confiscated without compensation.
