• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not a good morning today. On the way to work about 5:15 am, Beautiful morning, a racoon came out and I hit it just inside the right front tire. Needless to say have been on the phone with my dealer to order parts. Three pieces broke that i have seen so far. At least it wasn't a deer.

I know the feeling I hit a dog last year. I also learned what the trunk liner was for. It stops all my stuff from spilling out all over the road when the trunk bucket gets smashed.

Take a look at the online parts catalog. The exploded view gives you a better idea of all the parts that maybe involved.

 I'm sorry to hear that this happened...
Question: Had you put a tire on that "Bandit", do you think that the damage may have been less? :dontknow:

Bummer..!!

if your doing your own repairs check with cheapcycleparts.com for your parts. Often have better stock and prices. Glad you handled it well and only have minor damage. You will also need to do an alignment those blows tend to knock things outta whack....:gaah:

Have you checked to see if your insurance may cover it? A year ago, I hit a dog, front end damage. $2,000 before we were done. Insurance covered it all. My rates did not go up. Runs and looks like new.

A raccoon can take out the front end of a bike, Jesus. Aren't these like a large cat/small dog?

At SRITR a guy had just clipped a steel grate in a gas station, 1-3MPH, he had a bumpskid and it still "dropped" the frunk and related parts. Maybe you'd be safe if you hit a mouse. Of course, that's why we buy insurance.

I medium sized dog tool totaled my touring bike which is why I now ryde a Spyder. A raccoon can lay a 2 wheeler down.
