• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

race airbox

who has used the race airbox from ken and what do you think about it...

I'm assuming you mean the race airflow system? I have it and I love it, most hate the noise and it IS noisy. I'm don't think its true potential is there by itself, if you can afford it get the O2 modifier and the fuel pressure mod as well.

I have it... setting on my toolbox in the garage.

The box, combined with my dual pipes and Juice Box, really worked well. Based on a "benchmark" bike I sometimes run against, I'm guessing a net add of 8-12 HP... pretty darn good.

However, the intake noise is deafening. While I liked it around town... could put up with it... road trips with it were out... even with earplugs.

At WOT or heavy acceleration, the noise is no longer just annoying... it's like someone is sitting on the back hitting your helmet repeatedly (and very quickly) with a hammer.

There have been a couple of folks add a box around the race filter in conjunction with fresh air intakes. They seem reasonably happy.

BTW, riding behind a shield amplifies the noise. tatt2r may be correct in this particular instance.

If you are deaf, go for it!
More power..for sure, more space in the engine compartment to work on stuff like adding a juicebox, definitely. It truly is soooo loud. I was going to keep mine and build a sound box around it, but with all the surging, lean running issues I have with my spyder, I needed to put the stock airbox back on to fix that issue. (too much airflow). I just sold mine, otherwise would have offered it to you at half price, sorry.
