• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In the news today was a report that Cheetah the chimp who starred in Tarzan movies back in the thirties has passed away...

I don't know what the life span of a chimp is but he was old! I remember the Tarzan movies so I guess I'm old too!

I remember the old Tarzan movies too. I got to visit Silver Springs FL. in 1978--on the way to Disney World. That is the place where they filmed many of the Tarzan movies. Also the place where they have/had? the glass bottom boats.

Just read an article on this, and it said that an 80-year-old chimpanzee would be the oldest ever known, and in captivity they only live to be 40 to 60 years old.

The best Tarzan was Johnny Wiesmuller (sp). Buster Crab was a close second. There was a segment on tv earlier in the year that showed Chettah and his care giver. It was really funny. He was quite a Chimp that's for sure. I miss those old shows, Tarzan, Sky King, Little Rascals, Dead end Kids etc.
