• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I go to my dealer to get my rear tire changed out. I get my byke home and I hear a sound - a rubbing sound as I roll into the garage. It is periodic which means I hear it, then the wheel rolls little further and then I don't hear it until the wheel does a full Revolution and then I hear it again.

What did they do wrong?

First correct answer gets my full respect and admiration!

it has to be !

it has too be the " comes and goes " nut adaptor that is very close too the " almost never hear it bearings " :roflblack: going to have too lift the rear end up off the ground , and roll the tire in neutral , and see the alignment of the tire it must be real close but enough too rub , in one spot ...

I would guess that they didn't get the rear wheel seated against the adjusters...

...But it sounds terminal... Time to trade it in, and get a fresh one!:yes:

I'm not sure what the right answer is yet. Tomorrow I'm going to jack it up and take a closer look and I wanted to get some good ideas before I dug into it.

So that means there's a good chance you had another Kenda fitted, right?? :dontknow:

If so, a fairly high percentage of that particular brand of 'tires' really don't ever qualify as being truthfully called 'round' or of running true, so there's a good chance that the tire is rubbing on something even if everything else IS true & aligned properly!! That's probably even more likely if you have one of those a/mkt belt guards fitted on the swing arm.

If your Spyder is an RT, it could also be due to low air in the Rear Air-bag letting the suspension droop low enough to allow the 'out of round' tire to touch on one of the under body placcy mud shields; but I reckon the 'out of round' tire (or possibly a poorly mounted tire?) rubbing on something like a belt guard or brake caliper, ABS sensor, etc is probably the most likely cause of your noise...

Be interested to hear the actual cause once you work it out?!
