Quick question on Two Brothers Dual Pipe Install

Hey all,

Just got in my Two Brothers dual carbon fiber black exhaust pipes today and working on installing them as we speak. When I picked it up this morning, the dealership told me that TB told them that I must use the gasket they included with the pipes. The gasket looks like the stock gasket...same thickness. The only problem I am having is that gasket is actually a little bit larger in circumference than the pipe end and unless I flange out the pipe, there is no way to get the gasket on. I think I would have to really flange it out and that just does not seem right. TB did also inlcude the black silicone stuff so I will be using that, but I wonder if that is enough and just forgot using the gasket?

TB

Hey, I have the dual TB setup and I dont recall a gasket even being in my kit. I just used the tube of silicone and everything is great. Not sure if you heard a spyder with the TB duals already but it is AMAZING!!! As long as you dont mind loud and deep. I read that a lot of people thought it was too loud and used the p1 tips in it to calm it down. I will NEVER put them on mine haha. ENJOY!

The dealership installed dual Two Bro pipes before I bought Spydee. The "Y" gaskets eventually went bad and I replaced them with Honda gaskets. Didn't notice any silicone in the unions. Haven't had any problems with this set-up.

Yep, that gasket is NOT required and will NOT work with the TB on the Spyder...what were they thinking? I actually got charged for that gasket as it was a seperate part.
Anyways, got it on last night, let the silicone dry, took it out today for a while and and all I can say is WOW!!!!
LOVE THIS THING!
Deep, in fact sounds a lot like my Martin Logan Depth i (look that bad boy up) subwoofer :-)
Some say these are obnoxious, I totally disagree. My single pipe TB was on the obnoxious side, but this is serioulsy a wow factor.

Hey Yazz,
On a side note, what are those web things you guys installed on my Phantom called again? Is there a site for them?
I have not yet told anyone about how well I like them yet, so let me know and I will post some pics and info on them. They are very cool factor!

Glad you got your pipes together. Going to look into the silicone thing next time the "Y" gaskets blow.

Yup, there's a definitely a sub-woofer thing going on. Was at a hotel during a bike fest and got into a conversation with a bunch of crotch rockets. They were Two Bros fans, some single, some dual. We each started up our engines to compare sound. Guess who got the wow factor? Love my Spydee!!!

pm coming your way...
