There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Quick question on belt alignment etc..

_..stiffler..

New member
Sry guys just had a quick question.

My belt tension is at 180lbs with rear tire off the ground (2011 spyder rt)

And my belt alignment looks to be perfect as well.

My question is....

I just finished changing my rear tire. And when I put it back on I followed the video from finless Bob.

Now on the left side when facing the rear my little black cap is a bit loose. And right is tight.

With belt tension and alignment good. Should I just tighten the Allen head so that cap is tight?

Then check everything again. Or? Is the loose cap ok.

Thx

Let's see....

the end caps are the pressure point for the tension and alignment and should not be loose at all. You can snug it up and recheck and if all is still in accord your good to go. If not then you need to re do it...

Just my opinion but you should be just fine, but if you snug it do just that just enough that the cap is snug and don't touch the tight one.

I tightened it up. It only took maybe not even a 1/4 turn. Axle and all was tight to spec. I'll jack it up and let the tire rotate then check everything again.
