• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Quick mileage update...

If you don't want to rehash it, why such a need to make your point?:dontknow: If you're happy with 87-good for you. Others might like something else, that's their choice. Glad your mileage improved, I get 35 on 93 octane......
I see that your stirring the pot what do you have cooking :roflblack:

I'm not looking at fractions...I just wanna know if it's better for mileage to run at RPMs between 6 and 7...I try to keep them lower on back roads, figuring lower translates to better mileage...however, if for some reason that I cannot figure out, that more engine RPMs is better and more efficient, then I'll gladly run it higher...just can't make the association to better mileage...

Approaching 10,000 miles on ours since Nov '08. When we go smelling the roses and looking at the cactus flowers, etc., driving in 4th, doing about 40 MPH, on back-country roads, I have gotten 40 MPG, RPMs usually running 4500-5000. But when we are doing 70-75, bucking the infamous California wind gusts, and the Spyder equipped the way it is, we get 30-33 when I mentally calculate, rounding off quite liberally. I do that just for the fun of it. I have a few times been as low as 25 MPG, when the winds were really kicking us and we were doing too many 6% climbing grades.
