There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Quick dumb question regarding listening to music with iPhone 5 on 2014 RT Ltd

Hi Gang, hope you are doing well, quick question, I have a 2014 RT Ltd and with the cable that includes for the Y I installed an adater that goes to the IPhone 4 type connection to IPhone 5, I am able to listen to music and control the phone but I am only able to listen on side of the speakers (right side as if you were sitting on the bike). Am I doing something wrong or is it simple not compatible with the IPhone 5 evehthugh I have an original adapter to it. Sorry to bug you on such trivial issue but riding, mountains, scenery and MUSIC go hand to hand...jejeje...In advance thank you for all your help!:D

Do you have one of thoses eBay adapters (old connector to new lightning connector) or the official Apple adapter? I have the Apple adapter and I don't have any issues with my RT-S 2011.
But I no more use it since 1 month, I have installed a bluetooth received (~10$ on ebay) which is connected in the trunk and I use my iPhone in the front for music & gps.
I found that often the eBay wires & adapter are cheap and its like a lotery, sometimes it works flawlessly and sometimes its always trouble.

I'm have a 2014 RT-Limited with an Iphone 5 hooked through the adapter in the truck (same set up as you've described) and I don't have any issues with it.

I'm sure you've check... but make sure in your settings on your dash, you have the audio "centered" ... not fading from one speaker or another.

If that checks out OK... make sure you have an actual Apple adapter. Apple is funny about stuff like this.

Found the problem...

Thanks for all of your feedback, playing with it it seems that that problem is either at the female connector in the trunk or the male connector that is given as an accesory on the RT Ltd. When I plug it and move it just a tad up the left side of the speaker the go out. Checked with the dealer and supposedly will replace one or both..will soon find out....thanks!!!!
