• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Quick bag mount for RS

Flamingobabe posted this on the main board under soft bags for RS's
but it probably belongs here....
This lets me put the bags on, and remove them with 1 nut on each side, and leaves very little hardware on the bike when the bags are off the bike. The trickiest part was the compound bends on the flatbar for the hand grab bar rail mounts. I built this last year.... the day before we took off for Maggie Valley.. they have worked well, and carry a BUNCH off STUFF... Flamingobabe carries a BUNCH of stuff!!!nojoke LOL

The video/audio is kinda jerky... but it will at least give ya and idea of what we did.

 Those mounts are awesome. Can you make me a set?.........OK....OK......I'll make them if you can tell me what Nelson Rigg bags your using.
FB is a lucky gal to have such a nice husband to do all those mods............remember you owe me for all those nice comments,,LOL
Take care you too........Love that set up!!!

That is pretty slick! I will have to show this to Butch. I've been thinking about saddlebags, but didn't want them to flop around or be a pain to put on and take off, this is a great fix!

The Nelson Riggs bags we have are discontinued, but the relacement for it is the CL950. Basically the same bag with a different number.
The setup is good for a solo rider, the turn lights would need to be moved, or the bags set REAL WIDE to move them back enough for a passenger.
Glad ya'll like 'em! FB really likes 'em!!!! that's the main thing for me.:shemademe_smilie:

Edit: The CL 950 is a smaller bag, and not the same as the ones on FB's Spyder.... we are looking at diminsions on different bags

 Very nice job! I started to get excited when I saw the video. They look very easy to take on and off.....
And seeing as Randy likes to keep the bike as sporty looking as possible at all times, these would have been perfect. Wish they would work for two up, as that is when we would need them most.

I've been looking at ways to make it work 2 up. but I won't have a chance to play with it until we get back from Durango.

Could something be rigged-up with a set of bags that have the "saddle" that gets thrown up over the seat? Maybe lift the seat, throw them in place, lock the seat down and then fasten it to the side of the bike somehow? :dontknow:

Bob, that's the way the soft bags come, and how they hook up. But they tend to flop around a bit and rub the paint, and take a while to get them all lashed down. With the Corbin 2 piece RS seat, the straps didn't fit well under the seat..... That's why I threw this hookup together.
